CIRCA LATE 19THC. BRUSSELS DUCHESSE LACE FLOUNCE. Measuring approx. 61" by 7 1/2" wide.A lovely bold design on this long Brussels Duchesse lace border with ornate scrollwork, undulating vines , florals and arching leaves. The lace has it's original cream patina and has raised cordonnet on many of the designs. In good strong condition. A few minor storage spots, the lace has been in storage so just needs a gentle laundering. Lace like this was usually attached to ball gowns and othe period clothing.
