CIRCA 1890-1900's, ITALIAN ORVIETO LACE PLACEMATS A set of six placemats with one larger central placemat. The lacework is reminiscent of other pieces I have had in the past that came from the society. The design is quite lovely and has a fine grape vine with leaves that gently make their way around the edges. Excellent workmanship. This lace also came from the same New England lace collection. A few small storage minor spots , the lace has not been laundered and retains it's original cream patina. Measuring approx.8" for smaller placemats and 9 1/2" for the larger one.
