CIRCA 1900, BEAUTIFUL APPENZELL LINEN BANQUET TABLECLOTH W/CHERUBIM. Such a elegant Appenzell tablecloth! Measuring approx.135" by 72", the linen on this tablecloth is quite excellent and not only is the design beautiful but the workmanship is quite superb.There is raised satin stitch embroidery throughout this cloth, the meandering vines and florals are absolutely perfect in every way.They surround the large shaped vignettes that are filled with the playful cherubim.In between the cherubim there are fountains with figural garden stone faces. I love this cloth, it is elegant and has such a beautiful design.In very good strong condition, if there is any openings it would be absolutely minor. It is so wonderful to see such excellent embroidery!
