CIRCA 19THC. LAWN CHRISTENING GOWN W/PINTUCKING,VALENCIENNE LACE. Circa 19THC, A lovely frothy concoction here on this beautiful christening gown! There is the finest pintucking and the bodice and skirt has  many flowing vertical Valencienne lace insets and has delectable wings along the front of the gown with more Valencienne lace on the edges. The lawn itself is gossamer and quite ethereal in texture and the bottom of the gown has vertical pin tucking .A really beautiful and interesting design..The maker of this gown also thought of everything, there are the small cap sleeves but underneath they always added longer sleeves for the colder times. The gown is even more beautiful in person! Measuring approx.38” long, 9 1/2" 10” across chest.. The gown is strong and in good condition. It seems as if it was laundered. In all a beautiful gown for baby or for doll.
