CIRCA 1900's, LARGE ORNATE LINEN FIGURAL SHEETW/POINT DE VENISE,SHAMS. Excellent high quality linen sheet with a very ornate turnover. The design extends almost to the end of the sheet. There is a deep border of Point de Venise and a central vignette with a lady and a cherubim at the middle and other vignettes.There is elaborate Point De Venise, Cutwork and raised Satin Stitch embroidery in the design. Measuring approx.129-130" by 68-70" wide.The two shams or pillowcase measure approx. 52" by 20". These have the elaborate designs on both edges .One rarely finds such pillowcases in a set! This is the kind of linen that is such a delight to sleep under..Cool and smooth with the added bonus of such decorative work.It is also quite rare to find linen sheets this size. In good strong condition.
