CIRCA 1900, LOVELY FINE LINEN APPENZELL LACE TEA TOWEL

CIRCA 1900, LOVELY FINE LINEN APPENZELL LACE TEA TOWEL. The linen on this lovely tea towel is smooth and quite superb and almost feels like silk. The quality of the linen is always paramount on early linens. The design has three cupids or children in a ornate shaped vignette. They are enjoying the Spring Harvest and have crowns of flowers on their heads.Measuring approx. almost 37" by 22". There is a decorative whitework embroidered  <it could me M> monogram  above the design..There are orate flower swags and both edges have scalloped embroidered edges.there are two very small spots, otherwise very good strong condition. They do not seem to have been used much and so the linen is strong. They were laundered, so only need a Q tip spot correction. The work and design are very good.
