SUPERB 17-18THC. FLOUNCE OF ORNATE MILANESE LACE.A wonderful long flounce of Milanese lace measuring approx.118" by 17" wide. A grand design, with bold undulating vines and elaborate large flower heads and foliage. The design seems seems to have pomegranates and tulips amidst the decorative meandering vines. A lavish early flounce that came from the early lace collection of the 'Grand Maison de Blanc" in Paris. the lace has it's original cream patina and seems unused. A superb lace , both design and workmanship are excellent.
