CIRCA 18THC. EARLY BOBBIN LACE LAPPET. Circa 18THC. Brussels bobbin lace lappet, seem to have a "Fond Chant Reseau". Measuring approx.70" by 3" wide. The lappets are very long and have a bobbin lace added so that the headdress could have been pinned at that part. there are pretty shaped vignettes containing flowers and leaves. The lace comes from a museum deaccession of early lace, the lace is in very good condition, a few scattered tiny very minor repairs ,totally minor as this lace is in such good condition. The lace has it's original cream patina and was stored very well.
