CIRCA 1920's, ELABORATE BRUSSELS PRINCESS LACE BEDSPREAD W/BASKETS,FLORALS. Quite a beautiful Brussels Princess lace bedspread!! A very ornate design with masses of florals throughout the bedspread,the bedspread has a rare design with lovely baskets overflowing with flowers and tied with lovely bows. This design is in each corner and really makes this bedspread quite special. There is a wide frothy flounce of lace around the threes sides with a design of floral swags and large bows. Measuring approx. 90" by 44-45" for the main part, the flounce measures approx. 14" deep and is around the three sides of the bedspread. This bedspread seems unused or probably rarely used and has a lovely creamy ivory patina, which was it's original color. Lace during those times was never dyed but only colored with light tea infusion so as not to harm the lace. If one desires the bedspread to be white, use hot water .If a person wants to keep the color use cold or lukewarm water to clean. In good strong condition.This is one of the nicest Brussels Princess lace bedspreads I have seen. This piece is much nicer than the pictures!Tere is another matching bedspread, so ideal as curtains for use as canopy and bedspread etc.
