CIRCA 18THC. ELABORATE CAVENDISH SHOE BUCKLES W/PROVENANCE

CIRCA 18THC. ELABORATE CAVENDISH SHOE BUCKLES W/PROVENANCE. A sumptuous pair of Georgina era Cavendish ladies shoe buckles with large stones and a ornate design. The buckles came from a important estate in Boston that dates back to the early 1700's. The family was part of the Boston Brahmins. The Boston Brahmans were considered  part of the enlightened aristocracy, they were wealthy but also were expected to have considerable virtues and character traits. I have a full provenance of the family lineage and this will be given to the buyer. The buckles have are intricate and ornate. They excel not only in workmanship but also in design. There are two missing stones, otherwise in very good condition.
