CIRCA 1500-1600's, EARLY LINEN CUTWORK INSERTION LACE BORDER. A fine Italian linen cutwork insertion lace measuring approx. 21" by 2 1/2". The work is quite superb and the cool linen flax thread has a wonderful feel to it. In very good strong condition the lace has it's original cream patina.
