CIRCA 1600's, RARE EARLY VENETIAN GROS POINT LACE BORDER

CIRCA 1600's, RARE EARLY VENETIAN GROS POINT LACE BORDER. I thought it might be Point D'Espagne but it also seem like a early Venetian Gros Point lace . A wonderful piece , with striking raised cordonet on the meandering florals, vines and leaves and with a fine assortment of fillings throughout the lace. Measuring approx.10" by almost 4". A few minor openings otherwise very good strong condition. A great lace for the early lace collector. The lace has it's original cream patina and came from the Grande Maison De Blanc collection.
