CIRCA 17THC. VENETIAN ROSE POINT LACE. This is a complete piece and the label from the Grande Maison De Blanc says "Point De Venise a Rose" . The finest detailed work on this lace, with undulating tiny vines, florals and leaves throughout the lace and with a tiny scalloped edging all around. Perhaps it was used as a chalice cover?. Measuring approx. 6 1/2". In good strong condition, the lace has it's original cream patina.
