CIRCA 1900, ITALIAN NEEDLE LACE PELMET WITH CHERUBS. A lovely Point de Venise needle lace pelmet or chair back cover with a ornate design. There are two playful cherubs at the center frolicking with ribbons and surrounded by lavish scrollwork. measuring approx.16" at the widest part. The lace has it's original cream patina, there is one small age related spot that just needs a simple spot treatment otherwise the lace is in very good condition. This item comes from a very good collection of linens and lace we purchased recently.
