CIRCA 19THC. BRUSSELS LACE TABLECLOTH W/POINT DE GAZE LACE. A lovely linen tablecloth with Brussels lace measuring almost 31". The linen has Drawnwork and is extremely fine.The edges have shaped vignettes filled with rose and florals and Point De Esprit. There is raised cordonet on the flowers and leaves with raised three-dimensional work on the leaves. In very good strong condition, a few tiny openings in lace, totally minor. It is always rare to fine a table center with Brussels lace as Brussels lace was so very expensive and was usually made for flounces, collars and clothing items.
