EXQUISITE CIRCA 1700's,ALENCON NEEDLE LACE BORDER. Such a beautiful Alencon lace border! Circa1700;s, not only is the design truly delightful but the workmanship is quite exceptional..the Alencon lace is made with such precision, one can only imagine how skilled this lacemaker was. Measuring approx. 65" by 2 1/4". This is made with such light thread, everything about this lace is exceptional.In very good unused condition, the lace has it's original cream patina.
