CIRCA 1880-1900, LADIES HAND PAINTED FIGURAL SILK BOUDOIR CASE. Superb details on this lovely silk ladies boudoir case. Items like this were used to protect fine lingerie or important lace items in the 19THC..There is a beautiful lady with lovely detailing on her dress at the front of the case in a landscaped garden... she seem to have dropped a vase..or perhaps just missing her loved one.Measuring approx.18" by almost 14" laid flat, opens to 26" across, laid flat. Good fine work on this case with quilted silk on theinner part of the case. In very good strong condition.
