LOVELY 18THC. MECHLIN LACE BORDER. A wonderful harmonious stylized design on this Mechlin lace border. There are large meandering vines and florals wiht shaped vignettes filled with assorted florals with lovely scrollwork containing extremely fine tiny assorted filling. The lace has gentle scalloped edging and measures approx. almost 32 by 2 1/2" wide. The lace comes from a very good museum deaccession.in very good strong condition a few tiny openings and repairs that are so good, they were done in early times. A truly lovely design with excellent workmanship.
