SUPERB, RARE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE TABLECLOTH W/BIRDS AND ROSES.A wonderful Brussels Point De Gaze lace tablecloth with a rare design . In each corner there is a large ornate urn or vase that overflows with roses and on each side there are lovebirds with garland and florals.The roses all have three dimensional petals and there is ornate scrollwork and fine needlelace fillings with scattered Point de Esprit throughout the lace. Measuring approx. 27" , the lace measures approx. 12" deep in each corner and 6"deep around the corners. The cloth is in manly good strong condition but there is a small 1/2" repair, a few other smaller ones. The design is very fill so mainly they just blend in.This cloth seems unused and has come from a superb collection. In storage for almost 40 years the lace has it's original patina.
