CIRCA 1700,POINT DE VENISE A RESEAU OR FLEMISH LACE BORDERS. I am not sure, the label says Flemish lace but then again one wonders if it is Point de Venice a Reseau? Two borders or engageants? with the most exquisite design and the finest lacework. The borders have scrolling volutes, foliate forms and florals with various fillings including chevrons, honeycomb reseau and diamonds with buttonhole picot.Quite possibly forming robings: reconfigured at a later date. Measuring approx.32" by 3 3/4" wide. In very good strong condition, a few tiny repairs done in their time but strong and good with the original cream patina.
