CIRCA 1860's, BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE. A wonderful Brussels Point De Gaze lace flounce with large heirloom roses in the design and pretty floral bouquets and lovely flower swags at the top of the flounce. This lace has a rich and very ornate design and has elaborate scrollwork and masses of fine Needle lace roundels. Measuring approx. 76" by 8 1/4" wide. Centimeters approx. 193.04 cm by 20.95cm. The lace seems rarely used and was probably attached to the bottom of a dress.In very good strong condition, a few minor openings near top heading and a bit of heading is missing, minor. The lace has it's original cream patina and came form a very good collection. In good strong condition.
