CIRCA 19THC.FINE BRUSSELS LACE SHAWL W/POINT DE GAZE. A flowery Brussels lace shawl with a wonderful ornate design.There are large floral sprays measuring approx. 26" deep on each end. The floral sprays are quite beautiful and around the design and edges there are lovely tiny Needle lace fillings. There are numerous large florals sprays through the shawl , many flowers with Needle lace tiny centers, scrollwork with more needle lace fillings.This shawl is so elaborate that we could not add many pictures in this listing but we are happy to send more pictures of the detailed work if requested. The shawl is much more beautiful than the pictures show and has a amazing amount of lacework. There is meandering scrollwork and vines and Point De Esprit throughout the entire shawl. Measuring approx.113-114" long by 21-22" wide. In very good rarely worn condition, a tiny repair that is difficult to find and a couple of tiny minor openings. A wonderful shawl for the bride or for evening wear. Ethereal... and magical!
