CIRCA 1800's, EMPIRE ERA FAN W/WWREATH,SPANGLES AND CARVED STICKS.A brilliant Empire Era French Fan with glittering gold and silver spangles. There are four  Napoleonic wreaths with lovely tiny shaped leaf spangles and a large trailing ribbon on each side.The top of the fan has wide ornate swags with tiny round and leaf shaped tassels in gold and silver.Throughout the fan there are wonderful star shaped golden spangles and the guard stick and other sticks have intricate carved designs. There are wreaths and a harp and trellis work  with embedded steel cut beads on the sticks and guardstick. Measuring approx. almost 9 1/2"..This fan is absolutely wonderful and would grace any fan collection.Such a superb design, it a a magical fan for the collector. In good strong condition, seems rarely used.
