CIRCA 1710- 1720, TWO FINE BORDERS OF BINCHE LACE. Two excellent fine borders of early Binche lace. One border measures approx. 14 1/2" by 1 and 3/4'. the other measures approx. 20 " by 1 1/2". The early laces have such a beautiful design and threads that are quite remarkable. The lace is as light as a feather, something that is never able to be captured by the camera. In very good strong condition, a couple of tiny openings. The design has wonderful meandering vines with florals and wonderful fillings.
