ELEGANT MECHLIN LACE BORDER.Quite a beautiful and refined Mechlin lace border with a design that has scattered tiny florets throughout the lace and a lovely gently scalloped edging with floral and leaf design. This Mechlin lace is almost as light as a feather.These early laces are always quite amazing simply because they almost defy belief that lace like this could have been worked with such a fine flax thread. A beautiful design and superior workmanship on this lace measuring approx.35" by 4 3/4" wide.In very good strong condition.
