CIRCA 1800, WONDERFUL EMPIRE ERA MUSLIN SHAWL W/WHITEWORK EMBROIDERY,MECHLIN LACE. A wonderful Empirer square shawl with lovely whitework embroidery.The design has grapes and a geometric edge. Measuring apprx. 60 by 62".There are a few pin holes and a few period mends, minor compared to overall good condition of this shawl.There is a fine Mechlin bobbin lace on all four edges with meandering gentle vines and florals.
