CIRCA 1800's,FINE LADIES SHOES WITH SILK BOWS.Circa 1800's, a fine pair of ladies kid shoes with large silk bows with provenance.These came from a museum deaccession in New York and the shoes had the ladies card in them.The ladies name was Mary F. Onderdonk, the right shoe has a hand script written inside which states it is for the right foot,this is original to the shoe.There was a Bishop of Onderdonk in New York and the Onderdonk family name shows two Bishops,Julian Onderdonk,the American Impressionist painter,and another Onderdonk who was also a painter.Measuring apprx. 9 1/2 inches the widest part is little over 2 inches.In very good condition,there are a couple of nicks in the kid at th back, a few light stains and some frayed cording at the top of the shoe on the right shoes.The silk on the bows is good and overall very good condition.
