CIRCA 1900, LOVELY RADIANT CANTON SHAWL W/HEIRLOOM CABBAGE ROSES. Wonderful and striking color on this Canton hand embroidered shawl.The design is extremely ornate with large heirloom cabbage roses,meandering vines and florals throughout with a hand knotted Macrame edging.The roses in each corner have lovely designs, with soft rose colors, accentuated with light pinks and and apricot silks are quite striking against the vivid orange silk background. The smaller flowers are worked in shades of green , blue, violet,cream light teal etc. Measuring apprx.62" with 8-9" Macrame fringe.Some of fringe was cut,but overall in good strong condition,easily trimmed and worn.
