CIRCA 1880-1900,ORNATE ANTIQUE LADIES WHITEWORK SKIRT W/LACE. Circa 1880-1900, a very ornate ladies Edwardian era lace skirt with longer train at the back.The design is quite lovely with large vignettes containing lawn and raised satin stitch whitework embroidered roses. The vignettes alternate with other lace insertions in the skirt panel.This skirt is unfinished at the top ,it might have been part of a dress. One can make into a dress or finish off and use as a skirt.In very good strong condition, a couple of minor openings.Measuring apprx. 43-45" around waistline,42" long at the front,tapering to 52" long at the back.Photgraphs do not show the longer train at the back because we had to raise it for the mannequin.(Item #ALC48)
