SUPERB 19THC.BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE. Circa 1870's, a very beautiful and artful design on this on this panel of Brussels Point De Gaze lace. A central large floral bouquet of roses and florals is tied daintily with a elegant ribbon. All around the design there is a ornate design of florals, scrollwork ,meandering vines, florals and garlands of flowers. Measuring apprx. 25", 63.5cm.Thedesign is superb, the workmanship is of the highest quality. There are apprx. 65 or more raised three dimensional roses with padding intact inside , a stunning effect in every respect.There are a few tiny openings,MINOR, as this piece was cleaned and is in very good strong condition.I believe even the ground is handmade, a hallmark of the best pieces made in Brussels during the period.
