CIRCA 1880-1900,RARE EDWARDIAN VALENCIENNE,WHITEWORK BODICE.Part of a collection of children's clothing from a museum deaccession.This lovely child's bodice has as ruffled trained edge, hand made buttons and Valencinne ruffles on the high neck collar and also on edges of the sleeves.Pretty insertions of Whitework are enhanced by the design of the Valencienne lace.In original cream patina , the bodice is in very good condition.
