CIRCA 1755, FRENCH HAND PAINTED FLORAL SILK OPEN ROBE.A fine Ivory taffeta French open robe with polychrome floral sprays throughout the robe.The robe is trimmed with silk cord and piping ,the sleeve has a double fan cuff. There is a inner cotton bodice lining. The length is 54-78",chest 28",waist 22" In mainly good strong condition, there awesome splits under arms and some dye fading on design. A wonderful and rare robe. Part of Metropolitan Museum deaccession. (Item #RA6)
