EXQUISITE 19THC.BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE.A STUNNING Brussels lace!!A opulent design on this very long flounce, with large extravagant rose and floral bouquets. The roses have three dimensional raised petals .Throughout the lace there is scrollwork, flower swags, hanging vines and tendrils and numerous elaborate fillings throughout the lace.The handmade ground is almost entirely covered by the excellent needlepoint work.Scattered delicate Point de Esprit in the design and large roses and shaded leaves grace the scalloped edging of the lace.In good condition, a few small repairs,probably openings were from storage.The lace has the original color and seems rarely used,perhaps even unused.Measuring apprx.90-91" by almost 15" wide,231.1cm by 38.1cm.
