Amazing workmanship and design on this wonderful set consisting of one long table runner and twelve place mats.The scenes consist of ladies and gentleman in period clothing,musicians, gardens, urns, flowers ,tree, architectural garden elements, cherubs,houses,with elaborate scrollwork with raised picots in the design around the edges of the vignettes. The theme is LOVE AND ENJOYMENT in the gardens,with courting couples, animals or dogs and various musicians. A joyful idyllic Spring or Summer day!!The table runner measures apprx. 50" by 20" wide.The place mats measure apprx. 17 1/2" by 12" wide.A rare and very special set.In good unused condition, a few minor age stains.Items were never used or washed and so have original patina.
