EXQUISITE PLACEMAT SET W/WAGNER'S OPERA"THE RING". A unusual placemat set with scenes that appear to be from Wagner's opera "The Ring" with central large oval vignettes on each end of the table runner and also on each placemat.The imagery of Norse and Germanic legends were popular during the late 1800's-early 1900's. It is rare to find textile items depicting the opera.There is one long table runner measuring apprx.58" by 17 1/2". There are five placemats measuring apprx 15" by 13" wide. In good condition, a few spots that will come up once washed.Items have not been laundered. (Item #ALP41)
