ORNATE WHITEWORK HANDKERCHIEF W/HERALDRY,CROWN.A very beautiful handkerchief from the early part of 1800's and made of the finest lawn. A armorial with a crown at the top is is perfectly worked. A fine whitework design around the edges of the handkerchief and then handmade Valencienne lace completes this charming handkerchief.The banner has "Cunctis Nota Fides"embroidered under the armorial with classical figure on one side and winged gryhon on the other side.Measuring apprx. 17 1/2".A tiny opening in embroidery which is minor, otherwise in very good strong condition.A wonderful handkerchief for the collector.
