CIRCA 1840, FINE AYRSHIRE CHRISTENING GOWN.A empire christening gown with fine Ayrshire embroidery on the bodice, wings and all along the edges of the gown. The gown has the best of linen, smooth and silk and soft to the touch. Two tiny buttons hand embroidered button accentuate the bodice and the scalloped wings and edges of the gown are quite delightful. A elegant and refined gown in every respect. In mainly good condition, there is a 1" repair on the front. Overall a wonderful gown. Buyer may always view and return but I doubt when seeing this gown, one would want to return.It has quite a ethereal beauty!(Item #ACC102)
