RARE MONOGRAMMED FINE BRUSSELS LACE. Circa 19THC., there are two panels in this offering. Once a whole piece, the lace was cut in half. The work is extremely fine, with ornate "M" monogram and large oval vignettes filled with flowers. The design is quite elaborate with raised cordonnet on the leaves and overall a very beautiful design. The ends on each panel are finished off, so perhaps lacemaker can join if desired.One panel measures 52" by 8 1/2" ,the other panel measures apprx. 48" by 8 1/2". Good condition. (ITEM #AL160)
