The silk on these majestic curtains is luminous and the design is opulent with raised three dimensional scrollwork, undulating vines and raised three dimensional flowers and leaves. Each panel measures approx. 153" by 51".These are the most amazing curtains that I have ever come across in my many years of selling lace. The lace is so dense , so precise and the design is intricate and grand. The lace work is absolutely excellent. In amazing condition some minor discoloration but the shimmering silk absolutely shines and reflects light so totally minor.. These seem rarely used and came from a extraordinary estate in New York.

CIRCA 1880, EXQUISITE LAWN CHRISTENING GOWN W/VALENCIENNE LACE. A superb early lawn gown decorated profusely with Whitework embroidery and the gown also has numerous fine ruffles edged with tiny whitework embroidery. These early translucent lawn gowns were very special , they were usually adorned with elaborate designs and lots of ruffles. The gown has tiny smocking or pin tucking in between the whitework. The gown also has two shaped ties at the back. This is quite a lavish gown that came from a important collection.A few very tiny pinholes, totally minor. In good strong condition, the gown has been laundered.We have some slips here and so might be able to match the gown.A lovely gown for the collector or for a doll.

CIRCA 19THC. ETHEREAL LAWN CHRISTENING GOWN W/VALENCIENNE LACE. A wonderful early lawn christening gown with masses of Valencienne lace insertions and whitework embroidery. This gown came from a very good collection ,the lady had excellent taste and only bought the very best clothing! The gown has pin tucking and a wide Valencienne lace on the bodice , sleeves ,and a wide lace around the edge of the gown and also on both wings down the front of the gown. The most elaborate gowns were always made on this fine lawn. The long sleeves under the capped sleeves were usually added for a baby born in the cooler months and can be easily removed. Measuring approx. almost 45" long.A few tiny pinholes, totally minor!! The dress is in wonderful condition and has been laundered.

CIRCA 19THC.SUPERB BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE PARASOL. A beautiful Brussels Point De Gaze parasol with a lovely design and fine workmanship. Measuring approx. 38" long. It has a lining under the lace with a surrounding silk fringe. The inner silk lining has some splits and a few age spots otherwise the parasol is in very good strong condition.
