CIRCA 19THC. EXQUISITE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE FLOUNCE. A wonderful Brussels Point De Gaze lace flounce measuring approx. 106" by 9" wide.. in centimeters approx. 269.24cm by 22.86cm.The lace has a vrai droscel ground and the ground is almost entirely covered with three dimensional large roses, meandering vines and florals with ornate scrollwork weaving it's way through the lace.There are numerous tiny circles filled with tiny flower fillings. The design of course is wonderful and so very ornate and the lace work also is exceptional. One could not ask for more.. except for a nice long flounce measurement which it has. In all, a wonderful offering in every respect. In good strong condition, the lace has it's original cream patina.
